Echocardiogram
Echocardiogram is a sonogram (ultrasound) that can show two dimensional slices of the heart. This test will check the blood flow, size and shape of the heart and the extent of any heart damage. This test may be performed if you have experienced any of the following
symptoms:
- Abdominal Aortic Aneursym
- Abnormal EKG
- Cerebral Vascular Accident
- Chest Pain
- Congestive Heart Failure (Stoke)
- Coronary Artery Disease
- Edema
- Heart palpitations
- Hypertension
- Other Heart Diseases
- Shortness of Breath
- Syncope (Blacking Out)
This test is performed in our office by the well trained staff of Videre Diagnostic, a well known national provider of mobile diagnostic imaging services. The test results are read by well trained board certified cardiologist. There are no special instructions with this test.
